Systems

  • Systems Policy
    • The European Bridge League’s Systems Regulations and Systems Policy 2000 applay to these Championships.
    • Both members of a partnership must adopt the same methods in the auction and in the carding.
  • Written explanations of systems
    Every participating partnership in the Championship must complete,accurately and legibly, a Convention Card (with supplementary sheets as appropriate) in accordance with "THE SYSTEMS POLICY" and the Systems Regulations published on the EBL or WBF Websites : www.eurobridge.org or www.ecatsbridge.org

Rules for running the matches

  • First part of the competition
    Two groups of 6 teams each are playing round robin,The difference in the total point scores on each board is to be converted to International Match Points (“IMP”).For each match there will be between 25 and 30 Victory Points (“VP”) at stake to be apportioned between the two teams in accordance with scale for 16 boards matches. The period of completion for a match of 16 boards match will be 2 hours and 20 minutes.
  • Second part of the competition
    First two teams from the groups are going to play SF of 32 boards match (the winner from the first group against second one from another group). In case that both teams from Serbia advance to SF, they must play in the SF. The winers are playing the Final match (of 32 boards) and the loosers match for 3.place (of 32 boards as well). All these matches of 32 boards is going to be apportioned between the two teams in accordance with scale for 16 boards. The rest of the teams are playng 4.round of swiss with VP and IMP from the first part of the compettion, for places from 5.to 12.
  • Note: In the case of a variation in the number of teams participating,adjustments in the draw and schedule of play may occur.These will be notified at the captain’s meeting.

Spectators

Spectators are admitted in the Open Room.Spectators may only spectate at one table during any session of play and must be seated.Any spectator who attempts to watch at a second table will be required to leave Open Room for the remainder of the session. Spectators are requested to remain quiet and to refrain from addressing the players or otherwise distracting their attention. A spectator is forbidden to sit in a position from which both sides of the screen may be seen.

Non-smoking and mobile phones

  • Non-Smoking
    Smoking in the plazing room is prohibited.Any player smoking in the playing hall will cause his team be fined 1 VP.Repeated violation of this regulation may and constant violation will ,result in the player being prohibited from playing.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices
    Mobile phones and electronic devices may not be brought into the playing area.Any player,captain or coach bringing a mobile phone or electronic device into the playing area will cause his team to be fined 2VP-s.
